I haven’t received a response about slide show display. I’m guessing that means it doesn’t have slide show functions. Too bad. An Instagram plugin that provides a slideshow display is needed.I ran into this problem after I installed W3 Total Cache plugin. After a lot of trial and error I found that when I disable the cache of the Front, or home page, that the site would display fine in a browser. My Front/Home page has a slider slide show on it, so perhaps that combined with a cached version of the page had trouble loading…can’t say. But you could give this a try.
It’s worth figuring out as the W3 Total cache does allow for caching o Error 404 pages which I found dropped a lot of CPU load as spam bots tried to link to old deleted Comment, Activity, or Group pages.
The path to the setting is;
‘Performance/Page Cache/General/. UN-check ‘Cache Front Page’.

In reply to: [BP Group Management] Is this now obsolete with BP 1.7?With WP 3.5.1 and BP 1.7.2, this plugin gives me an error message when one attempts to open it from the WP dashboard menu. Too bad as BP spam group generation seems to be the current hacker derangement de jour. Hope it gets updated.

In reply to: [WP Splash Image] Unhelpful instructionsI have the same question. The name of the exact file to be customized should be mentioned and a screenshot of the insertion area would be very helpful.
Also, is it possible to adjust the image fade out speed after the image on splash page is clicked? A nice transition to transparency, revealing the home page, would integrate it nicely into the website.

I’d like to be able to provide students a half completed WP site and then have them customize it. So maybe the only way is to create a theme?
