I can’t easily train WordPress users when I have to figure out which icon to use, for: list, button, image, heading etc.
I can’t easily remove “almost duplicate” plugins that are block collections, when I can’t tell which block is with which plugin (right now Greenshift is the one I want, most often has the clear controls and good settings).
I shouldn’t have to use the Browser Inspector to figure out what plugin a block belongs to.
Here are some screenshots. They are all showing as in the block search typing “icon”. They all have similar names. They all have similar icons in the Settings panel. They all have similar descriptions.
No brand identifier. No plugin identifier. No way someone who likes this block can tell which plugin to recommend to someone. No link to documentation or support. Missed marketing opportunities.
Greenshift has, for some blocks, a Greenshift section in the Settings. That is the only identifier (outside of CSS class names in the page source code) for any of these 3 or 4 block collections.
Greenshift is good. Add some branding. Good for the company; good for the users.p.s. Okay, I pasted images in, but they aren’t showing. Go to a WordPress user’s computer, type /icon in the Block Editor, see what icons show up. Insert each into a test page; what icon and description shows in the Settings panel? You will recognize Greenshift, but what are the others? Does the WordPress user know which is Greenshift’s icon list block?

In reply to: [Simple CAPTCHA Alternative with Cloudflare Turnstile] SureForms IntegrationsI am also interested in using Simple Cloudflare Turnstile with SureForms.
The Arizona WordPress Meetup suggested Simple Cloudflare Turnstile, “it’s less irritating than Google reCaptcha” to set up and use.You are terrible at explaining things.
I didn’t see you even open Elementor. My question was how to use a Site Editor navigation block in an Elementor (free) header. My clients should not have to maintain one menu to show on a non-Elementor page, and a separate menu to show on an Elementor page.
Why are you, multiple times, hovering over a product image, as if there’s something to do on that image?
You showed a Block Editor header that had a menu in it. I already know how to do that, but if I didn’t your video would not show me how.
Most of your mouse movements, I can’t tell if you’re showing something specific, or just moving the mouse because you are hyperactive.
Maybe if you talked slowly, explaining what you are doing, I might make sense out of it.
But don’t do it for me; I’m deleting your plugin, as worthless for my needs.
Huh? That statement is so vague I don’t know what you got working, nor how you got it working: “I tested also on the default 2024 theme, and it worked. I needed to tweak the Header template, so it won’t be showing.”
Tested 2024 theme and WHAT worked?
Tweaked the Header template HOW?
Tweaked the Header template so WHAT won’t be showing?I want the menu that I defined in Site Editor to be able to show in an Elementor template. Does your plugin help with that? If so, what are the steps?
Does “Method 2” have any effect on Menus?
I ask again:
“How do I get a header in Elementor Header & Footer Builder with a menu, since Navigation blocks are not available? “, in a theme like 2024 that has no Appearance, Menus but instead uses Site Editor to define menus?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WooCommerce] 8.5.1 is a nightmare
You have not provided anything the community can help you troubleshoot or diagnose. What firewall issues? Did you get any errors listed in your error logs?
Why back to version 8.0.3? Why not version 8.4.0 or 8.5.0?
Why “trolling through firewall logs”? What did you base changing firewall rules on?
Do you have a staging version of your site? So you can update on the staging site, make sure everything works, and then update the production version of the site?
Do you keep track of every update you do, so you know what version “worked before” to roll back to that version?Same issue. Plugin version 5.3.0
WordPress 6.2, PHP 7.2 or 8.1.Plugin seems to work fine for selecting and adding image to Media Library.

Thank you, that works.
- Confirmed I still had the problem
- In Brave, Settings, Shields, disable “Auto-redirect AMP pages”
- Browse to the initial Google Site Kit Dashboard, and refresh the page
/wp-admin/admin.php?page=googlesitekit-dashboard - Log into your Google account following the prompts
- Since “Universal Analytics” is getting retired, connect first to your GA4 token. Then you’ll be prompted to connect to your UA token.
Now I connect without any issues.

Different site: Elementor updated successfully from version 3.10.0 to version 3.10.2 — worked, no problems.
So, looks like if you have version 3.8.___ then update to 3.9.1 first.
Both client sites were already on WordPress 6.1.1.
Probably Same issue: on client site, “Elementor updated successfully from version 3.8.1 to version 3.10.2” — gave error:
PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Undefined class constant 'DATETIME_CATEGORY' in /wp-content/plugins/elementor/includes/controls/date-time.php:51Installing version 3.9.1 worked, then updating to 3.9.2, 3.10.0, 3.10.1, 3.10.2 all worked.
Not sure which version needed to go back to, probably wouldn’t have to go so far back; but this worked.

In reply to: [Bulk Media Register] Invalid folder on Multi-siteThat multi-site of mine was initially created around WordPress 3.1. Multi-sites created earlier than about WP3.4 had blogs.dir folders, and that should now be migrated to the current media library folder structure and database records modified to reflect that.
I was trying Bulk Media Register to get the media library working again, but the plugin doesn’t address the problem (the blogs.dir structure outdated).
Removing Legacy ms-files.php from Multisite — https://anchor.host/removing-legacy-ms-files-php-from-multisite/ is what gave me the fix.
I’ve modified that script, to have error checking (I’d already moved the files, so the script tried moving core WordPress files). It works on subdirectory multi-sites, though the Anchor author had only tested on subfolder multi-sites.
