    If I were to set up the new WP in a subdomain off Faulknerficiton, could I then just overlay Faulknerfiction with it later when I was through setting up? How hard would that process be?

    I don’t need the current content moved over to WP

    Thanks, everybody. Wow.

    I didn’t realize these things could vary, server to server.

    One other (easy?) quick question from the newbie. Let’s say I self-host on one of the recommended host sites for my WP blog. 1) is it possible to just replace my old website-guts into the new WP blog host, right along with my WP blog? 2) if so, is there a URL that gives detailed instructions on how to do that?

    Again, thanks so much for your advice and help. I’ve been putting doing off doing the self-hosting-thing for a long time, becasue I didn’t think I knew enough. Now, I feel a lot better knowing I can just ask people in here.
