In reply to: Can't access my websiteok. I’m probably writing too often. I disabled the plug – ins and got the themes folder to reappear.
Now the only way I can get into the blog is by putting the trailer /wp-login.php on the blog name and log in each time.
I want to let anyone see the blog just by clicking on the blog link. Is there a setting I got messed up somewhere?
Sorry to be a pain, but I haven’t worked on this particular blog for a while and am just now updating it.
I really appreciate your help — it’s good and timely!!!!

In reply to: Can't access my websiteWhoops I spoke too soon. The themes directory has disappeared from my dashboard, and I got a notification at the top of the dashboard that the themes directory is missing. All I did was change that one folder that you mentioned.

I entered my website/wp-login.php and was able to log in. Maybe it will work ok from now on.Thanks so much for your help.
Should I feel somewhat safe in switching themes or is there a problem there?

In reply to: Can't access my websiteI may have put this in the wrong place. I believe that my blog is hosted on wordpress.com. It is my understanding that FTP doesn’t work there.
Am I out of luck?
