In reply to: [Participants Database] Calculation field – format tagsHi Roland,
The addition of the calculation fields and now the currency format tag have improved my forms significantly.
Just another suggestion for another future update. I’m using calculation fields on existing records in a multipage form. As the calculation updates on the next button, would it be possible to make a calculation field hidden on one page and visible on the next page? So if a calculation field total is changed by user input, the old value isn’t shown until it has recalculated. Thanks

In reply to: [Participants Database] Calculation field – format tagsThat’s great. That will allow me to automate a form that currently requires counting weeks off a calendar and multiplying by the weekly charge.
Thanks

In reply to: [Participants Database] Date Field auto update on record updateNo I don’t think it will work. As I said previously, I use several different forms for different purposes. I am currently working on a form that members will use to renew their membership where I am trying to record their renewal date. It will then be necessary for an Admin to update the record when payment is received so a last_accessed or last-updated field will update again. I also have a couple of other forms that record information from the same members, which will change the saved date.
I think I am going to have to use a date field with the “current_date” default, and then next year add a new field and update the short code.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Participants Database] Date Field auto update on record updateThanks for the prompt reply. I already have a date field with “current_date” as the default set up. The problem I have is that once the field has been populated, the only way I can find to clear the field is to manually edit each record from the backend. I have tried the CSV import with null, null_select, but nothing seems to clear the field. Am I missing something?
It will serve its purpose for this year, but I will either have to edit each record individually, about 140 of them, or add a new field and edit the shortcodes each year.

In reply to: [Participants Database] Heading field not updatingHi Roland,
I have discovered the problem is caused by the Theme I am using. I said in my previous comment I had the same issue in a new installation of WordPress. On reading my comment again I realised it wasn’t a totally clean install as I had installed the Hueman theme that I use on the main site. Going back to the Twenty Twenty One theme the Heading field works as it should. Strangely on the test site switching back to Hueman theme it continues to work. I have tried switching to Twenty Twenty One on my main site. The Heading field works. Switch back to Hueman and it stops.
I now have something to progress with. Thanks for your help and sorry for wasting your time.

In reply to: [Participants Database] Heading field not updatingI had already tried creating a new group with a single Heading field with the same results. I also tried it on a new installation of WordPress on a subdomain with a new install of PDB. It was the only field. I will try turning off debugging tomorrow, it’s getting late now (UK time). Thanks for your help.

In reply to: [Participants Database] Heading field not updatingThanks for the prompt reply. I tried that but it made no difference. I had already tried entering a very short string. I used the word test and on another attempt using the word test with the html tag strong.
Using phpMyAdmin, I have also edited my Heading field and added some text to the default value. This displayed in Manage Database fields, but wouldn’t edit. In the form it displayed bold upper case.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Participants Database] Heading field not updatingI meant to add that I have a subdomain set up on my site with just the PDB active on it, no custom templates or plugins installed and it behaves the same.

In reply to: [Participants Database] Export CSV – not filteringAs an update to this, after a lot of head scratching and searching, I have discovered that the issue of filtering not working on the Exported CSV is a conflict with another plugin, User Submitted Post Pro (USP Pro). With USP Pro deactivated the Export CSV matches the filtered results and works fine. As soon as I activate USP Pro the problem returns except the last working filtered results are downloaded, rather than the entire database as I originally reported. To test this further I used a clean install of WP in a subdirectory of my site. The free version of USP does not have this effect on PDB. Have you got any ideas? I will raise a similar request to the USP Pro plugin author. Thanks David

In reply to: [Participants Database] Export CSV – not filteringThanks for your prompt reply. I will contact my host tomorrow, I’m in the UK so out of hours now and support is only really for emergencies. I have Autoptimize running, but have just deactivated that to see if that is causing a cache problem, but it made no difference.
Thanks again, I will update this with anything I find.
