In reply to: Problems with pluginsOkay, sorted this one by deactivating it on its own but I have a more annoying problem namely that even though I’ve uploaded the updated plugins, when I go to the plugins menu, it still shows the old plugins! Is there no way of deleting these entries or refreshing what the plugin menu shows? Or should just delete all the plugins and start from fresh?

In reply to: Can I add the tag ‘mail this post’?Well, there’s nothing in the plugins section that allows a reader to mail a piece to someone else.

In reply to: How to add a mail link in the sidebarOkay, thanks, I’m a total ignoramus when it comes to PHP and very reluctant to make changes to code unless I know exactly what I’m doing.
I assume it’s the sidebar.php in the theme I’m using?

In reply to: WordPress and HTMLHi,
No I’m not (deliberately) using any Java, it’s mostly tables, which I stripped out anyway and URLs to files. The main reason I asked was I have 1000s of files in my old HTML-based site that I’d like to have accessed from my new, WordPress site, so rather than pasting in the text and going through every link and adding in the URL, I thought there might be a quicker way, like cleaning out most of the HTML leaving just the links and the text.

In reply to: Tinymce & WordPress 2.2.2FYI: I think the problem is definately Java-related which explains why the Marsedit posts worked.

In reply to: Tinymce & WordPress 2.2.2Okay, I switched to the latest Firefox and the editor works! It must be Safari that’s causing the problem.

In reply to: tinymce not working after installPS: I notice that when I put the cursor over the commands at the top of the edit window, instead of seeing for example, Link, I see a javascript message.
Also, deactivating all the plugins made no difference.

In reply to: tinymce not working after installSince upgrading to 2.2.2 I’m having all kinds of problems with the built-in editor, then reading the advice here that it might a plugin conflict I tried to deactivate all the plugins and got these messages:

In reply to: tinymce not working after installThe editor is really messed up! I can’t insert links either and there seems to be some kind of problem with my offline editor Marsedit.
Tinymce seems to be stripping out carriage returns as text I paste gets turned into one, big paragraph!
I’ve checked the uploaded directory and it all seems to have been uploaded when I upgraded to 2.2.2

In reply to: tinymce not working after installEditor not working properly after upgrade 2.2.2
I loaded a page created with 2.2.1 and the formatting was shot to pieces. It contains
- code that I added in the editor and it worked perfectly until upgraded. When I loaded the page into the Editor, changes wouldn’t take and the screen doesn’t seem to refresh properly.
The only solution was to delete the stuff that wouldn’t format correctly.
