    Thank you for your response.

    We already had ‘Use Default Category’ unchecked. Digging further, we have the following errors logged after uploading a file:

    PHP Warning: Undefined variable $t in /wp-content/plugins/wp-media-category-management/include/taxonomy/class-WP_MCM_Taxonomy_Admin.php on line 230

    PHP Warning: Trying to access array offset on value of type null in /wp-content/plugins/wp-media-category-management/include/taxonomy/class-WP_MCM_Taxonomy_Admin.php on line 230

    We can replicate this issue locally and on live (using WPEngine).
