Hi there!
Many thanks for looking at this issue!

Unfortunately, now it actually applied the short code to the TOC

The highlighting is a result of the shortcode – I would prefer if it was not applied to the TOC – only the actual headers

Confirmed – version 2.0.24.1 displays shortcode code
Rolling back to Version 2.0.19 fixes issue
