Today this worked for me. I’m also using WP-rocket and deactivated and activated that one yesterday on a site with good results.
I got the same problem and a quick fix was to inactivate and activate the plugin. I hope this helps for you too. (using Avada)

With my WP version 3.3.2 it is not working at all in Internet Explorer (Firefox and Safari works fine). It just doesn’t show any text at all.
Put back version 1.2.5 which seemed to work for all three browsers.
