Thanks for the reply but I dont think I was very clear. I know how to set up WordPress and make sites and themes.
What Im looking for it a plugin, similar to Joomlas DOCMAN which allows you to upload and organise PDFs or Word Docs on your site, archive them into years and list them like here
I’m struggling to replace the .htaccess file on a mac! Does anyone have any ideas how to do this?

When permalinks are set the links dont work. When they are the default setting it works fine. I really need the page to be set on permalinks and Im not sure whats wrong!
Im thinking this is to do with the fact that this page is set to be the blog page and therefore doesnt use the page content from the WP Admin.
Can anyone advise me of a way around this?
