    Hi Baz

Apologies for not seeing your above reply before I posted on your Pro user forums.

    I entered:
    [maxbutton id=”12″ text=”GBP 3.90 \n a week for \n 20 weeks with GoCardless” url=”https://pay.gocardless.com/BRT00039C1SBGRT”%5D <br>[maxbutton id=”12″ text=”Pay GBP 78.00 now with GoCardless” url=”https://pay.gocardless.com/BRT00039C28D3WW“]

I used \n twice as a test. However, even after clearing the browser and the WordPress cache, there was no difference in the first yellow button at:
    https://limetech.uk/product/amy-adult-female-ivona-british-english-sapi-5-text-to-speech-voice/

Is this because the \n is within the text=””?

    Many thanks again,
    Sarah

I am glad to tell you that the problem has been fixed by a brilliant freelancer!

    He used: https://meowapps.com/products/database-cleaner-pro/

Thank you everybody who replied, this really was keeping me awake at night!

My next “mission”: the find a split payment platform like GoCardless but who has facilities for UK Disability VAT Exemption and minimum order quantity rules (basic IF, THAN ELSE statements!).

If you are such a company reading this, please let me know!

    Thanks again everybody.

Hi. Many thanks for your reply. A Freelancer (yesterday) used Advanced Database Cleaner on my site last night, be he didn’t think it had done much.

For example, a full product csv export that I did JUST now contains: Meta: _aioseo_keywords

I switched from AIOSEO to Yoast roughly a year ago…

The csv export that I have just got ends with column EK, but contains a product with 9 downloads (I create bundles but don’t use a plugin to do so).

You can see my csv file here:
    https://limetechmedia.co.uk/media/ALL_product-export-11-07-2024.csv

I suspect that data redundancy is the reason why product variations are corrupting, but solving it is another problem 😒

    Thanks again!

    Hi Carol

Thanks so much for your reply – things have just nose dived even further…

    https://snipboard.io/0DzJ7t.jpg

Amy 1 to 24 Individual commercial users has the regular price of: GBP 55.00

    The variation ID is 419837
    Shortcodes in table:

    [woocs_price id=419837 currency=GBP]
    [woocs_price id=419837 currency=EUR]
    [woocs_price id=419837 currency=USD]

    Plugin shortcode: Fox Currency Switcher

It has never failed. Every time I export the Amy product category csv, I find that Regular Price and SKU data has been allocated to different (Amy) variation IDs.

I honestly don’t know what to do now. GoCardless works for just voice products, but not for UK Alinea Suite variations as they are eligible for Uk Disability VAT Exemption, something that took me a very long time to implement (without the awful dedicated plugin for that purpose)

    Thanks again Carol.

Thank you. I am extremely grateful for your reply!
I am waiting for a previously used freelancer to give me a quote as Codable is too expensive at this time.

I have started to use GoCardless (without their plugin) as a way of bypassing WooCommerce and manually entering prices using the Fox Currency Conversion plugin. Unfortunately, the problem with bypassing WooCommerce with Buy Now / pay in installments buttons with GoCardless URLs, is that we cannot offer UK Disability VAT Exemption using:
    https://www.flycart.org/products/wordpress/woocommerce-discount-rules

Its an extremely frustrating vicious circle!

A possibility has just sprung to to mind…

To display prices in product tables (displaying in more than one currency) I use Fox Currency Converter and the following shortcode:

    [woocs_show_custom_price value=33.5 currency=GBP]
    [woocs_show_custom_price value=33.5 currency=EUR]
    [woocs_show_custom_price value=33.5 currency=USD]

Previously, the Woo product variation was used instead of price (in the above case GBP 33.5). That is how I became aware of the problem…

For an add to cart button, I use the following WooCommerce URL:
    [maxbutton id=”13″ text=”Buy Now” url=”https://limetech.uk/checkout/?add-to-cart=417048&quantity=1“]

(the above was not displaying properly here, so is not a mistake, hence the edits)

Obviously, if product variation 417048 has the incorrect price as is happening, the consequences are serious.

Is there a WooCommerce URL in which I can enter a product name and regular price rather than the ID?

    Many thanks again,
    Sarah

    Dear Bas
Thanks for your reply. and apologies for my delay in replying.
I have since discovered that I can use a https link rather than a script.

However, what I would really like to do (for customer accessibility and my own ease) is to style a button with the hex f0c54f for a compliant background, the PayPal Subscribe icon / text, the add my own text, such as “Pay GBP 10 now then <br>GBP 10.00 a month for 6 months”.

That would greatly increase my work speed as I have a disability myself, and it would be accessible to blind people (our main target market segment) who use JAWS or VoiceOver.

Do you know whether that would be possible?

    Thanks again!

    Hi.
I have found the cause of the problem…

I insert the relevant TablePress shortcode into a product description….

For some strange reason (as has happened previously – I think twice), WordPress replaced the TablePress shortcode with the actual table as HTML code as if I had created the table in the “old fashioned” way.

    Very strange…

    Hi Bas

    Thanks for your reply.

I have a variable text-to-speech voice product called “Tessa – the Nuance female South African English SAPI 5 text-to-speech voice”. The variable “single user license” is GBP 55.00 and has the product ID: 17622

Using my button design #9, I use the following shortcode within a TablePress cell:

    [maxbutton id=”9″ text=”Buy Tessa” url=”https://limetech.uk/checkout/?add-to-cart=17622&quantity=1″%5D

I then edited Tessa to give variation 17622 the following SKU:
    tessa_single_edu_user1

I then changed my shortcode to:
    [maxbutton id=”9″ text=”Buy Tessa” url=”https://limetech.uk/checkout/?add-to-cart=tessa_single_edu_user1&quantity=1″%5D

Result: no product was added to the cart

The product in question is the first one listed at:
    https://limetech.uk/south-african-english-accent-text-to-speech-voices/

If you tell me what I have done wrong, that would be great!

    Many thanks again,
    Sarah

    Tom,
Would I be able to create the amended file in Notepad, then use FileZila to upload it, or would the permissions still prevent that?

    Thanks again Tom.

    Hi Tom

Many thanks! I did everything listed in that guide that you gave me the link to, did everything stated, see below.

However, that file is now write-only and the WordPress help team say that the permissions can’t be changed. I was shocked, but guess they have to safeguard against people making changes for no reason, like Apple (annoyingly) did with Disk Utility.

My support ticket was answered, and help given, but the tabs are still not across the very top as illustrated at:

    https://www.megamenu.com/

I was hoping to have all social media links, links to important pages, and the Google Translate all in on bar of tabs. I’m not wanting drop down menus as most people in my intended market segment would struggle with them as I do myself.

I would have thought that WordPress would have had a facility that automatically adds tabs, but allows them to be removed easily.

    Thanks again.
    Sarah
