In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] All events are 14 hours off. That was the issue for me. I asked school district IT staff to provide me with the calendar IDs, those IDs are in the @group format, and all works fine now.

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] All events are 14 hours off.Nick – could the problem have something to do with a Calendar ID that has “@import.calendar.google.com” instead of “@group.calendar.google.com?”
The site that has the working calendar is using the @group and the one where the times are off is using @import. I captured the working ID a long time ago and the one with @import is new. When I look at the calendar ID for the working calendar in Google Calendar, it is now listed with the @import and if I put that into Simple Calendar, it doesn’t work.

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] Incorrect timeYes, the calendar is a public calendar. Specifically, the calendar is owned by the school district and managed by the school adminstration. The site I’m working on is the Parent Teacher Organization for that school that wants to display the school activities on their website. I consult on four other PTO sites in the same district. All the sites use(d) GCal. I recently upgraded two to Simple Calendar. One works fine, the other has the wrong times showing.

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] All events are 14 hours off.I have upgraded to Simple Calendar on two sites. One is working fine the other has a very similar issue as to what karelles describes – wrong times, changing timezone settings does not fix it. The site with the problem is hosted by Go Daddy (the working site is not). Could that be playing a part? There was an issue with GCal and Go Daddy previously that had to do with caching – https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/fatal-error-gce_displayget_event_days-on-godaddy?replies=3.

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] Incorrect timeI do not own the calendar, so I can not adjust settings there.
I have tried using Custom along with “Chicago,” as well as trying several of the UTC options – nothing is working properly. The “Chicago” setting does not change the times, the UTC settings change the times, but they are still not correct (no matter which options I select.)

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] Incorrect timeI had a previous timezone issue on this same site. An embedded Google calendar was displaying properly, but when event details were clicked on, the timezone would be wrong. The site is hosted with Go Daddy, the other sites I use the same plugins on are not. So, I did some investigating and found it was an issue with the “object-cache.php” file. The workaround was to rename the file to “_object-cache.php” Could this problem be due to a similar issue. Sorry, I am not that technical, but thought it might be worth sharing in case it’s a server setting issue.

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] Incorrect timeI’ve played around with all of the advanced settings for timezone and can’t seem to find a solution that works. Perplexed.

In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] Incorrect timeI have the same/similar issue. I am not the owner of the Google calendar, but when I display it on a regular page using an i frame, I had to add the time zone to the link in order to get events to display at the right time
<iframe style=”border-width: 0;” src=”https://www.google.com/calendar/embed?showTitle=0&showTz=0&mode=AGENDA&height=600&wkst=1&bgcolor=%23FFFFFF&src=v2gfcs7b7kquf6mm5g4a4kgiqimnuins%40import.calendar.google.com&color=%23125A12&ctz=America%2FChicago” width=”600″ height=”600″ frameborder=”0″ scrolling=”no”></iframe>
Now that i upgraded from Gcal to Simple Calendar, I am having the same timezone issue with the calendar events. Events are displaying in GMT +0 instead of Central time (i.e. band at 2:00 AM instead of 8:00 AM on 1/26/16 http://monroeschoolpto.com/calendar-agenda/)
