In reply to: Error when upgrading to WP2.8I suddenly got the same error messages. After much messing around I finally got it sorted – thanks to the help on this thread.
What I did was go to the ‘backup’ options in my weird looking admin section. Backed up my database.
Then upgraded automatically to 2.8.4 (which is what I was on anyway but the option was still there so I took it).
Then I downloaded the link from sbrunner (5 messages above this one) and ftp’d it into my wp-includes to replace my http.php file.
It worked for me.

I deactivated my blog stats and tried to reactivate it. Then I have to get my API key, When I try to log in it tells me my WordPress.com account is suspended.
Brilliant – so where is the wordpress.com helpdesk does anyone know?

In reply to: Side bar – changing order of :I actually put them on there in a Link category, (such as Blogroll and External Links) but does this means that I cannot re-position it in the side bar?
I wanted to use the Pages widget, but that is already used by ‘My Links (About, Privacy Policy etc…). And by looking at the forum I cannot add another page widget.
Therefore I think that in order to position it where I want I am going to have to change it to some other link format.
Any suggestions.

In reply to: Tried to correct wrong url in settings, db but no goodJust in case it gives the experts additional information. When I am in my wordpress dashboard and click ‘view site’ I get a blank page there also. All blank pages. I have gone through all my wp files on the server to make sure I haven’t missed something – but couldn’t see any old url’s floating around.
I’m not nagging – just updating the situation.
