Can you reach out to us at https://pdfink.com/contact/? Yes – there were parser updates and we’d like to work with a sample of this PDF. Thank you.
Sorry to hear that!
Have you tried other PDF files? Is your PDF by chance version 1.7+ or incremented?
Some PDFs will not ever be parsed by the (open source) parser included with this free plugin, because of its permanent limitations. You can try to reformat the PDF as an earlier version to see if the free version of PDF Ink will work with it, but if not you’ll need to look into using a different parser.

We have no data to be able to support you with. Please read through this and provide more information if you wish for help: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/before-you-post-2025-support-tips-please-read/
Sorry it took a long time to work through the included open source parser to weed out some of its difficulties with various PDFs… but I recommend you also try version 4.0 to see if it now works with your PDF files.
It’s Sunday night, and I maintain this plugin in my spare time as a volunteer… so, no, I haven’t.
If the parser isn’t happy with the PDF (which it isn’t) you might need to switch to another plugin that uses different parsers. WaterWoo uses TCPDI to parse and TCPDF to write. Some plugins use FPDI (for PDFs under version 1.5) and our premium plugin, PDF Ink, allows you to switch between several different parsers. Frankly, I am no longer patching another developer’s software (TCPDI, 9 years since it was last updated) to make PDFs work with it, for hopefully very understandable reasons. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and maybe check out PDF Ink instead! Easy. Thank you.

In reply to: [PDF Ink Lite - Free PDF Watermark & Password Protection] user ID shortcode ?Thanks! You can either work with a developer or maybe AI to add a [USERID] shortcode (a fairly straightforward PHP project), or upgade to PDF Ink, which includes that [USERID] shortcode, ready-to-go.
3.6.0 includes an upgrade of the PDF reader and writer included in WaterWoo. Please take a look at this: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/before-you-post-support-tips-please-read/ and provide WP debugging. The Woo error log just about said it all, but if we can catch the line where the reader is getting caught up on the PDF, maybe we can fix it. Otherwise yes, stick with 3.5.2.
It would still be helpful for the rest of us to know what you found out with basic WP troubleshooting. I issued the update over two months ago, so this is likely something having to do with your particular installation. If you find out, please post though – in case it can help someone else using this open source. Thanks.
Good to see someone using TCPDF. That’s great. But it’s really odd that it’s looking for Franklin.
Have you performed basic WP troubleshooting? If you don’t know what that is, please read the pinned post in this plugin’s support forum. It’s the first thing that should be done whenever anyone has a WordPress issue. Thanks!

In reply to: [Plausible Analytics] Requires registration and paymentI did not have this experience. 30 days is a nice long trial, and all it asked me for was my name and email… in order to use their service. I don’t understand why something so standard and patent as a service sign-up gets a 1-star review.
Thank you. This question is partly addressed in the FAQ and here in previous tickets, so we won’t repeat that. You might try switching to the WooCommerce forced download method and seeing if this helps matters. Otherwise, to have a schedule you’d either need to build your own CRON job, or upgrade to the paid version of this plugin, which includes schedules for file deletion (like every day, every week, every two weeks, etc.).
When you say reports do include them, is this for the Pro version? Because the free version definitely only includes “Full Refunds” in the report. When you said it does show partial refunds, I started to second guess myself, and thought well maybe it’s not catching the partial refunds when they are coming via webhook from Stripe?

Yes, I’ve given partial-refunds this month.
Your server timed out while trying to process the PDF. This isn’t so much a problem with the plugin as it is your server not having the PHP memory to handle parsing and writing the PDF. You could try a smaller PDF (smaller file size), or just a different PDF, and this probably wouldn’t happen.
You’ll want to try tuning your server, simplifying your watermark (remove encryption), cutting down the PDF file size somehow, or cutting down site traffic (not 100% serious, but if your site is getting hit hard by bots, 100% serious). It’s often easier to beef up your hosting plan with greater CPU, or upgrade to a system using PDF Ink + SetaPDF-Stamper, which uses quite a bit less system memory for PDF processing.
Unfortunately ‘There has been a critical error on this website’ is not enough information to go forward with. This plugin includes debugging in the settings, under the “Error/event logging” tab. Please turn that on and provide the contents of the debug log, or contents of your WordPress debug logs. Thank you.
