Thanks for all your help. In the end I wiped the database and files and approached the manual install a different way. Once i was able to figure out how to get my wordpress to communicate with my SQL server without the need to use standard website wordpress installer. I could switch over manual settings need to get the multi sites up and was able to better search and replace to update the files. This fixed the error and all galleries are working fine.
Good, morning
I had’nt realised that I had not mentioned the fact Ive already tried this unlike my local dev where i get “Thumbnail generation test ran successfully.” as expected. I get no message at all it’s blank.
I would agree that somehow I’ve messed up thumbnails or other sections of the plugin. Would you be able to provide me with how I should migrate my local site to live so that I don’t do this again. As I can only see how to migrate from another gallery plugin to yours from your documentation.Ok the thumbnail generator is set to default. Below is the settings after resetting to default. Neither of which has made any difference
Are there any instructions\changes need when i migrate from a local site with to web. bearing in mind the local address is different to staging site online. As ultimately once changes have been approved will be migrating again to our actual web domain so don’t want to go through the same issues.FooGallery version : 3.1.26

)Hi bradvin.
So if I go to a page which should be showing me a gallery I get below error up and my site design changes style. I get no gallery pictures blank or otherwise. If I try and edit galleries I get similar error to below. If I click add new gallery that works. but as soon as I click galleries above that option the same error message appears. Below is a link to a staging site, it’s not fully completed. But you should be able to click on club kit link option. To see one gallery which is not working.

I assume in my manually migration I might well have messed up and entry within the SQL. When trying to repoint all paths correctly. I could not find any instructions on what is need when doing a migration. So, what I’m missing are the steps need to fix FooGallery after my manual migration would probably allow me to go through migration process again and this time have less issues.

In reply to: [Inspiro] slideshow text responsiveHi Apologies for not getting back I’m working through lots of different issues on our redesign. At the moment. My fix seems to have resolved issues.
FYI
Was not using any other plugins for slideshow other than one you provided with the them.Hi joe, thanks for getting back to me I’m not sure i understand you? can you explain more as was under the impression there was only one calendar and that you could filter the calendar to show different groups of items based on there categories in which case they both have an different ID 1,2
Is this what you meant. If not perhaps you could direct me to which menu options.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [My Calendar - Accessible Event Manager] How to change list view styleHi Joe,
Thanks for getting back to me.
We’re planning to use your plugin to display upcoming training sessions for our running club. The calendar view works really well on desktop, tablets, and even mobiles in landscape mode. However, in portrait mode on mobile it switches to a list view, and I’m trying to understand how to control or style that layout.
Since my first post format has changed to this. Which I’m not sur what setting I turned on for it to chage: –
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1hPLiKe0gdZV2cJ52vGsfiykMmlzDWS-I/view?usp=sharingFrom reading through your documentation, I assumed this would be using the list template, particularly as I’ve set it to display a list rather than a compact calendar on mobile. However, that doesn’t seem to have affected the layout as expected.
Ideally, I’d like to make some adjustments — for example, moving the number of events to the right of the date, or possibly removing it altogether. For our use case, we typically only have one or two events per day, so that information isn’t especially useful.
I’m aware I could achieve this with custom CSS (as I’ve done with other parts of the calendar), but from your documentation it looks like some of these changes should be possible using PHP templates or Legacy Templates. Unfortunately, I’m struggling to understand how to implement or override these correctly.
Any guidance on the best approach would be much appreciated.
Thanks again.

Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Inspiro] slideshow text responsiveThanks for the reply.
I’m a little surprised this isn’t something that could be handled within CSS or the theme’s JSON configuration (which, as I understand it, is the preferred approach for defining styles and behaviour these days), particularly for handling mobile layouts. It feels like something that should be relatively straightforward for the theme to control.
I’m aware of Elementor and have used it before, but I’m trying to avoid adding unnecessary plugins to the new site. The aim is to keep things lightweight and avoid introducing extra complexity or performance overhead. After all, it’s just a running club website, so it shouldn’t require a large number of plugins to handle fairly basic functionality.
Another factor is that some of the site content will be updated by people who aren’t familiar with WordPress. Because of that, I’m trying to keep the editing experience as simple and consistent as possible.
Much of what I’m doing with the redesign is focused on creating a more modern look while avoiding the need to manually style every block. I’ll be creating patterns to make content creation easier, but ideally most of the styling should already be handled automatically by the theme. The more default styling that can be applied globally, the simpler it will be for others to maintain the site.
Thanks again for your help.

In reply to: [Inspiro] slideshow text responsiveHi Ina,
Thank you for getting back to me I did manage to fix it by giving it it’s own css class and using the following CSS: –@media (max-width: 768px) {
.CS-SlideshowText {
font-size: 15px !important;
}
}I’d just expect if it’s a responsive theme then it would respond to the size of the screen and adjust accordingly text size to better fit. Is CSS the only way to fix this?
I just seem to find lots of sections that do not work out of the box as expected. Was hopping the that wordpress had moved on a little since the last time I used. Going to be long process in redesigning our running web site.
Unfortunately Id love to share my website but it’s currently only a local site and has no public access.- This reply was modified 2 months, 3 weeks ago by Adrian.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Gutenberg editor page width visual guidelinesGeorge Appiah, are you sure you mean 9% of users would use it? Because that would imply 91% would which would make it even harder to argue against including it.
More broadly, it raises the question: what percentage of users does WordPress consider enough before something becomes a core feature?
Personally, I think it would be genuinely useful to have this built in much like you do in Word, PowerPoint, or Publisher rather than relying on external tools.
One of the frustrations with the Gutenberg editor is that, in trying to simplify things, it often removes functionality that many users still need. The result is that you end up installing extra plugins (often fairly bloated ones like Elementor) or writing custom CSS just to achieve fairly basic things for example, changing a button’s hover state.
Those aren’t advanced developer-only tweaks; they’re pretty standard requirements for modern websites

In reply to: [Inspiro] How to change hover color of text in submenuHi solved the issues with my theme. Was an error with CSS where I had /* when it should have been */ though strange when there was no media comment that it only affected my site via my laptop.
One last question though. I set my site up with a child theme. My understanding from how i’ve done wordpress before a few years ago is this allows custom changes not to be lost. I was expecting the custom CSS changes I made to put in the child CSS but that is blank. Am I wrong with my assumptionsForum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Inspiro] How to change hover color of text in submenuGood evening
Thank for the reply, however that did not work. Other than the media option being slightly different and choosing a random color to test. It isn’t that much of a changed from I had tried originally. Which I obtained from doing a inspect of my test site.
@media (min-width: 1025px) {
.navbar-nav ul a:hover {
color: green !important;
}
}Strange how it seems to work fine if inject entry via inspect in chrome but not when added as additional CSS. Also if I apply just the following
.navbar-nav ul a:hover {
color: #ffdd0e;
}which has not media size specification it works on mobile menu, which is also where it should work but not on main menu on a normal 14″ laptop.
I would love to supply you a link to my site but at the moment it is only a local development as it due to replace our old club one. so until it rebuilt as new it will not be live
