Hi, and thank you for the answer. I initially assumed the skin selection could override the “gradient” setting. Indeed, after I manually set the gradient, the background is not white anymore. Thanks!
Oh, now I see that although Simple Days Plus hasn’t received an update, Simple Days did. WordPress didn’t warn me about it.

For some reason, I can’t change any colors of the theme at all after the latest update.
Also, my header menu items are stuck on transparent, rendering the menu itself invisible!
