Thank you for the reply. The code you suggested didn’t work for me — it could be a theme issue.

We are in the first stages of changing themes — I’m sure I will find other issues once the new theme is completed and running.

Wow. Thank you for replying in less than 10 minutes from making the post! That is amazing.

You are 100% correct in your assumption that the child theme css was not applying to the wp-admin backend.

I am now displaying post listings in color.

On another note, would you please delete the two entries in google groups as they contain an email address that is not a public address — as in my naivete, I didn’t realize my emails were being posted … Thank you.
