    Thanks a lot.
    It was a problem of port.
    Apache was listening to port 80 which was apparently not available. I’ve modified it to port 8080 and all went fine. Now I’ve WordPress installed on my local PC.
    By the way you were right about the use of TUS, is quite easy and immediate.

    Hello,
    the set up of the web platform (WPI) runs fine. The password is prompted during the WP installation, almost at the beginning. The exact message is “the specified password for the user “root” is not valid or it has not been possible to connect with the requested server (my translation from italian language…).
    About your question: I was used to WMAPP but I have troubles with it as well, so I was just looking for a method to avoid it and reading the Codex it seemed an easy way. Now I’ll try your suggestion. I’ve the impression that something on my PC makes difficult or impossible to run mysql and Apach properly. Is this possible?

    thank you for the replay and sorry for the delay in posting this.
    I’ve changed the strategy and added the logo and name of the site in one single immage.
    @arti singh: it appeared as your advice didn’t work, maybe my fault.
