Thank you, I followed up there.
Is there somewhere I can send this privately?
I just meant in general, but good to know. Thanks.
Sorry, I misspoke, I don’t know if they are a plugin developer. They say they are a Professional Web Developer and WooCommerce specialist. I have their information but I don’t really want to call them out on here. I just want to remove the link.
Thanks for the tag info.
Definitely makes me more hesitant to include a link here in the future.
Yes, exactly. By another developer. This must be against some policy. If not, it should be. Is there a process to ask a moderator to do this?
Can you please remove the site url from this post? My client is being contacted via several channels now referencing this issue.
I don’t believe the quotes plugin updates the order status. When we send the quote we update the plugin status from “quote received” to “quote sent”. That’s a manual process we do on the order. From there the order should process as normal. When paid, it normally gets changed to “processing”. When it fails, it normally gets changed to “failed”. That’s been working fine. This is a new situation with Link by Stripe.
Is there anything different about the way Stripe processes Link payments/failures that the quote plugin developers need to know to make sure the status changes from “quote sent”?
The Order # is 38284.
The status is “Quote Sent” (we use this Quote plugin – I also submitted a support request there realizing that might be the issue)
The order notes:
Order details manually sent to customer.
Order status changed from Pending payment to Quote Sent.
Added line items: ProductI took a look at Stripe to compare to your screenshot and in our case, Stripe does show the order as failing yet the order in WooCommerce is still in Pending status. See screenshot: https://snipboard.io/4VAoZy.jpg Any idea why that would be?
Thanks for testing this. The issue is that the admin “New Order” email went out saying there was a new order paid with Klarna. Neither the admin nor the customer received any kind of email that the payment didn’t go through and was still pending, so both parties thought it was paid. I understand why the failed email didn’t go out if the order never went to “failed” status but shouldn’t both parties be notified that the payment didn’t go through? Is this normal procedure? Seems problematic.
I thought maybe Stripe would eventually mark it as failed if never paid, but the order was from October 6th and it still shows as “pending payment”.
Thanks!

In reply to: [Relevanssi - A Better Search] Server errorI discovered some empty product variations with no parent. They didn’t have a title or price or anything. They had an “Edit” link but it didn’t do anything so I couldn’t even see what they might have been. Not exactly sure how that happened, but I’ve deleted them. I imagine that was the root of the error. Thanks for responding so quickly and pointing me in the right direction.

In reply to: [Relevanssi - A Better Search] Server errorI don’t really see how it is possible to have a variation without a parent, but I’ll see what I can find out. In what circumstances does the plugin check this?
Thanks so much for the quick fix!
