Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Dashboard Welcome for Elementor] Not showing by defaultI need this feature as well. Unlike all other dashboard widgets this seems to be unchecked by default and hidden from new users.
Please fix this. I am considering alternative dashboard plugins.
Hi Gina,
Anyway, most likely you just need to clear your browser cache.. and routinely clear or temporarily disable any WordPress plug-in caches while editing your site.
Your link with the changes you want us to see can’t be viewed without access just FYI. try using imgur or upload a screenshot here.
Cheers!
Devin

Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Blocksy] Elementor headerWe use Hello theme for our site as well, so definitely not a theme issue. That’s just what it looks like when you edit your header. If you’d like to see your what your header looks like on a live page while editing, just keep another tab open on your chosen page and hit refresh after making edits to the header. This is especially useful when working on a white text/transparent background like ours!

In reply to: [Blocksy] Elementor headerIf you click the gear in the lower left corner, you can switch the layout to ‘elementor canvas’ and remove the header entirely.

You got this! Elementor has a bit of a learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, you’ll never look back!
@rayzig100 This sounds like an issue with the IT theme. The first thing I would do is search your theme for an option to disable the loading screen. It could be hiding in appearance>customize, settings, or it could be a plug-in. If that doesn’t work, then you may need to switch to another theme.
Elmementor works with a variety of themes, but when debugging, it’s always best to fall back to the default WordPress 2020 theme, or Elementor’s own plain vanilla Hello theme.
The best part of Elementor, for me, is the fact that you can create any theme style you want with their built in options. Headers, footers, post archives, post styles, and even global colors, shadows, forms, and borders are all easily managed without the need for a theme that may cause incompatibility issues. I once had a theme and the author went out of business. They stopped issuing updates to comply with WordPress updates, and it totally wrecked my client’s site. Although, I know there are a few good ones (OceanWP and Astra come to mind), I never use outside themes now to limit these issues.
