Thank you for your reply, unfortunately this does not solve my problem: I cannot use the latest post page as home page since I need to use a static page in order to show other kind of content. I am forced to keep enabled both page content and latest posts on my home page, but I apparently there is no way to get landscape images for those post excerpts.. maybe with a custom css??
