A new version of the plugin has just been posted which addresses the XSS vulnerability reported by Patchstack. We recommend updating to the latest plugin version.
Please allow a few hours for Patchstack to review the new code, and update their database accordingly.

In reply to: [Bulk NoIndex & NoFollow Toolkit] Tried it. Set it. Nothing happenedThanks for checking out the plugin!
It looks like you are running the Yoast plugin on your site. For categories, currently this plugin is designed to defer to any existing Yoast category noindex settings. If the primary yoast settings for “Show categories in search results” is disabled, this plugin will not override the noindex directive from yoast.
This plugin can still set the “follow/nofollow” directive as Yoast does not have a specific setting for that.
Let me know if that helps, or if you run into any other issues.

In reply to: [Bulk NoIndex & NoFollow Toolkit] Still Indexed Despite Google RecrawlingGoogle should obey the robots directive, however sometimes it can take a few crawls. I would recommend double checking the page source to see if there are multiple robots directives.
I would also check that there are no other pages in the website which are canonicalized to the pages you are wanting to noindex.
Let me know if that helps or makes a difference.

In reply to: [Bulk NoIndex & NoFollow Toolkit] Plugin Doesn’t WorkI’m going to mark this thread as resolved for now, but please let us know if you run into any other similar issues.
If you are using Yoast or All in One SEO with this plugin, and you disable this plugin, the status of the posts will remain the same. The plugin uses the same config options as those two plugins.
If you are using the plugin as a standalone solution, you will need to leave the plugin installed in order to retain the settings.

In reply to: [Bulk NoIndex & NoFollow Toolkit] Compatible with PHP 8.1?Upon further digging, we did find a small bug when using the plugin on its own without having yoast or AIOSEO installed. Just posted an update, but let us know if you run into any issues.

In reply to: [Bulk NoIndex & NoFollow Toolkit] Compatible with PHP 8.1?The plugin has been tested and works correctly through PHP 8.2.
Please let us know if you’re still experiencing any issues.
Unfortunately the plug-in does not currently support woocommerce at this time. I have added this to the feature request list and can look at including woocommerce support in future versions.
