You are absolutely right. This post was autogenerated by the hosting company when the blog was installed, I didn’t know the post had a custom excerpt. Once removed, the excerpt option of your theme works like a charm. Awesome theme!!
I was using Native mode (the plugin said my theme work well with this setting) and the other two options were checked.
My theme is WordPress’ Twenty Seventeen.
