Thanks, WPyogi, for your response. I’m using the “evolve” theme. I’m attempting to remove these words at appear at the bottom of the page: “Not Found” and “Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn’t here.” They appeared when I removed the default “Hello World” and tried to prevent (via Customize) any comments and responses from occurring on that page. I want it to look and feel like a Web page, not a blog page. I have looked at the page using the browser’s “View page source” and found the code that makes those words appear. I want to simply comment out that code (using Notepad) so those words do not appear. (Thank you, again.)

Thanks, martcol, for your suggestion. I have done that, unchecked everything in the “Discussion Settings.” I also went to Dashboard>Posts and deleted the default WordPress comment “Hello World!” thinking that might be keeping the comment button displaying, i.e., awaiting a response. Now, however, at the bottom of the page are the words “Not Found” and “Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn’t here.” So, I’m still seeing stuff where I’d like nothing to be. But at least the “Read” and “Comment” buttons are gone. Now I’d like to find how to remove the “Not Found” words.
