I think it fixed it. I cleard the cache and checked it on my iPad.

Just wanted to inform you that with the 2.4.0 update the problem seems to be fixed. 🙂
Fix: Cropped images from the side now supported.
Fix: Avoid loading the PHP Simple HTML DOM Parser twice.
Update: PictureFill, from 2.1.0 to 2.2.0.
Change: Now create retina files by default.Regards
