In reply to: [Agy - Age verification for WooCommerce] It’s okHi Sean,
I ended up going with something custom made. For about $50.00 you can hire a freelancer to pound out the code you need and skip the irritating nonsense of fooling around with clunky and inept plugins. If you’d like, I can share the code with you. It will require some knowledge of how to edit files in your theme. Hit me up if you’re ever interested.

In reply to: Icons in Media Library not workingNo, that’s not the problem. I wish it was. It’s definitely an issue with WordPress. I have to find some way of making Wordrpess refresh the images so that the icons appear again. Anyone know how?

After our dialog, I adjusted the review. Thanks for your time.

In reply to: [Disable Emojis (GDPR friendly)] Disables emoji support onlyYup. Looks like they worked just fine. Any way to stop that?
In the interim, I’ll remove my review. Sorry about that.

In reply to: [Disable Emojis (GDPR friendly)] Disables emoji support onlyOh. So there is no way to keep people from pasting in an emoji (or a wall of them), hitting “post” or “reply” and having WordPress remove the emojis from the comment? That’s what I’m looking for, and when I saw “Disable Emojis” as your plugin name, I assumed that was what the outcome would be.
How do we keep posters/commenters from making emojis and having them honored by WordPress? I’d like to find a way to block them from being typed into the text field in the first place.
I’m going to test here by pasting in emojis. I’m assuming they’ll work, then? Here it goes:

In reply to: [Disable Emojis (GDPR friendly)] Disables emoji support onlyWait, what? Isn’t this plugin supposed to disable emojis from working on your WordPress front end?

In reply to: [FT Signature Manager] Won't support HTML or imagesSince no comment has been made by Automatic or the developer, I figured I’d make an update here. The plugin will still work with WordPress 3.5.1, but only if you adjust your custom HTML code.
If you have any quotation marks in your code (within the settings panel of plugin), strip them out. Otherwise, the new WordPress environment, for whatever reason, will insert extraneous code (slashes) wherever these marks are found.
For instance, if you have code that looks like this:
<font size=“1“ color=“#999“>
Change it to this:
<font size=1 color=#999>
Your signature should now look normal again.

In reply to: [FT Signature Manager] Won't support HTML or imagesI’m really getting a bit overwhelmed by both WordPress and plugin developers for it. WordPress’s recent upgrade (before 3.5) entirely broke my social networking plugin. Now this.
To verify, I am experiencing the same issue as noted above. Extraneous code is being entered automatically in the edit window for this plugin and it’s dead in the water. Way to go, Automatic.
Rob, you need an editor to help you with your posts, I think. Less is more.
The reality is WordPress Symposium IS free to install and use on your server. For more advanced functions, however, you can choose to unlock additional plugins fully. There is no “phoning home” going on with the software.
What’s the problem here?

In reply to: [Theme My Login] [Plugin: Theme My Login] A little leery of upgrading“Unfortunately, while having a fairly large user base, most of TML’s users don’t participate in beta testing.”
Perhaps a warmer approach to user feedback would help? I know Simon Goodchild (WordPress Symposium) has a great beta testing/feedback community environment. I’ve personally been involved in making several suggestions there that have been implemented, and I am merely one of many.

In reply to: [Theme My Login] [Plugin: Theme My Login] A little leery of upgradingThanks, Jeff.
I noticed another recently new version. Looks like there was a need to patch the improvement after all. I think I’m ready to upgrade, finally.
