    Ok, I grew impatient waiting for more insight into this issue, so I tried the advice of danhgilmore. I changed to an old WordPress theme, then deactivated my plugins (save those that were Network activated).

    Bingo, I’m back in as Super-Admin on the Network site.

    Looking further into it, I suspect I’ve conflicted WordPress with two passwords on the same Admin email address. In otherwords, I’ve logged into one of the sub-sites using the same email address the Network Admin uses, but with a different password.

    I fear screwing this up in trying to fix it. I need confirmation, then some firm guidance on what to do next…
