after reading regards to email form seem’s like problem is with wp 4.8.1 they may change some code
i had few days a go auto update wp 4.8.1 since then i had same problem hope developers will push update asap.
I got exactly same problem when I click submit loader keep turning.
I did some troubleshooting firstly I test server side for sending and receiving emails all work
then I did deactivate and activate plugin no luck
I try uninstall plugin then install freshly same no luck
I install different contact form plugin they worked perfect
I try changing theme didn’t fix issue
I believe problem with contact form 7 plugin hope some developers will respond this issue quickly I’m happy with this plugin don’t what to change
