Hi Luca,
Google can show a different title than the one you have set for multiple reasons. You can find out more about this here
In your case, it’s either search term manipulation or Google just decided that your title is not relevant to the content on that page and decided to simply ignore it.
The feature to redirect attachment URLs to their parent post has been removed in Yoast SEO 7.0, you can read more about it here.
It has been replaced with the option of redirecting attachment pages to media files themselves. This can be done from SEO → Search Appearance → Media.
Since comments are not something that you would normally have control of, Yoast SEO does not take them into account when analyzing the content on that page.
It’s not possible to add the comments to Yoast SEO’s analysis by default, but it could be done with custom development. Unfortunately, that is not something that we could assist you with.
Thank you @lolobu for sharing the solution.
The issue where settings such as removing category not being migrated properly from the old versions should be fixed in Yoast SEO 7.0.3.
@dinerobits Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. A bug report is already open with our development team here: https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/9174.
Can you try and gather as much information for us as possible? Please perform the following:
1. Make sure the issue doesn’t persist when Yoast SEO is disabled.
2. Check for conflicts.
3. Check for JavaScript errors with your console. If you find any JavaScript errors related to Yoast SEO or if there is a conflict with a plugin or a theme, you can create a new GitHub issue for our developers.
Are you using the latest version of Yoast SEO, 7.0.3? If so, please go to SEO → General → Features → XML Sitemaps and turn it Off, Save changes, then back on again.
This should clear the transients and force the XML Sitemap to update. Additionally, if you are using any caching plugins (or server cache), please make sure to flush the caches.
Should the issue persist, please include links to your sitemap and one of the deleted URLs that are still present.
If the screenshots do not contain any sensitive information, it is safe to upload them to Imgur and paste the links here.
If they do contain sensitive information, please send us over email at [email protected] and include a link to this topic.
If you don’t want a page number shown on the first page, it would be best to use the %%page%% variable instead. This will not show anything on the first page and will replace itself with Page X out of Y on the subpages.
Unfortunately, we were not able to replicate this issue. Please install the Health Check plugin and copy-paste here the information from Dashboard → Health Check → Debug Information, so that we can try to replicate your environment and issue.
Additionally, can you confirm that this issue persists on the latest version of Yoast SEO, 7.0.3?
We’re looking forward to hearing back from you.
That is indeed strange. Sometimes strange behavior may be caused by a plugin or theme conflict. The fastest way to rule out conflicts is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Seventeen. If this resolves the issue, you have a conflict and should activate one plugin at a time until you locate the conflict. Finally, after all plugins are active, switch to your theme. This will narrow down the conflict to a specific plugin or theme.
If you can install plugins, install “Health Check”: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/health-check/ On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.
If you are unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we wrote a small guide that will walk you through the steps. You can find it here: How To Check For Plugin Conflicts

Thank you both for confirming that the issue has been fixed.
@lukefive, are you still experiencing this issue or has it been fixed in the meantime?
Facebook and Twitter are both caching URLs which have been previously posted. This means they will not check your URLs for changes until the cache expires, even though you may have made the correct changes in Yoast SEO.
Facebook
In order to force Facebook to clear the cache of a URL, please submit it to their Sharing Debugger and click the Scrape Again button several times (i.e. attached image). After you have done this, you can try sharing your URL on Facebook again and it should show the updated Open Graph tags.Regarding the large image which you are getting, that depends on the size and orientation of your chosen image. You can learn more about this here.
Twitter
The first step would be submitting your URL to Twitter’s Card Validator, to make sure that the Twitter tags are generated correctly. Next, you’d need to make sure that Twitter is not showing a cached version of your URL.Unfortunately, you cannot force Twitter to clear the cache of an URL and there is no way to determine when it will get updated. However, there is a workaround by adding query strings to your URLs. Thus, when adding them, Twitter will consider them new URLs and will scrape the page for tags instead of using the cached ones.
For example, if you wanted to post on Twitter this URL https://yourwebsite.com/your-page/, but it’s already cached and it does not show the updates you have made, then you can post it using https://yourwebsite.com/your-page/?utm_source=twitter. You can add any other query string, we are using this one as it’s also a valid URL parameter for Google Analytics. As @lightscapes has mentioned, you can only do On-site SEO with Yoast SEO.
If the keyword which you are aiming to rank for is too competitive, that’s where Off-site SEO makes the difference between you and your competitors.
That being said, if the keywords which you have chosen are too hard to rank for, you might want to start with Long tail keywords.
Hi Rich,
The issue is caused by 2 empty rows at the start of your sitemap: https://i.imgur.com/P5nBz4B.png

Hi Brian,
We’ve inspected your website and noticed that you are currently using Yoast SEO 7.0.3. Can you confirm you fixed the issue? If so, could you share what was causing the issue?
