Hi @suprim,
Unfortunately, there’s no way at the moment to force the search engines to instantly index your pages. We are working on a solution for live indexing for Bing & Google, but it is not yet ready.
In the meantime, we recommend checking out this article on how to get Google to crawl your site faster.
We hope to have cleared things up for you. As this is not something that Yoast SEO can handle, I’ll mark this ticket as resolved.
Hi @glashsix,
Does this happen with Facebook only, or SEO title and Twitter too? If no specific Facebook title is set, then it should use the SEO title by default.
What is the current SEO title template that you are using for posts (at SEO → Search Appearance → Content Types → Posts)?
We are looking forward to hearing from you.
Hi @holzfelix,
We understand you would like the rel canonical tags of subpages of archives to point to the main page. Is this correct?
If so, this is not possible nor recommended. We recommend checking out this article to understand why each page canonicalizes to itself, including subpages.
Hi Johnny,
If the text length counter is not changing after you’ve added content, then it’s likely that Yoast SEO is not able to detect it. It is possible to add this data to Yoast SEO’s analysis, but it is up to the developer of the builder plugin which you are using to do this. It’s not possible for Yoast SEO to be compatible by default with every builder out there.
However, just because Yoast SEO cannot detect this content, it does not mean that Google would have the same issue. Search engines crawl the HTML of a page, they should be able to detect the content generated by a page builder.
We hope to have cleared things up for you.
Hi @40andholding,
I’ve inspected the source of your URL and found that the generated HTML is missing some double quotation marks (“).
That being said, your tags are currently like this:
–<meta name=description content="...">
It should be like this:
–<meta name="description" content="...">The missing double quotation marks around description (but also for most other tags) are causing this snippet to be invalid. If you are using any caching/minifying plugins, please turn them off temporarily and check the source again to see if the double quotation marks are back.
Google is showing a text snippet from the content because it cannot find a valid meta description tag.
Were you able to find out what is causing this issue? If not, we recommend performing a conflict check as in this guide to find out if the issue persists when Yoast SEO is the only plugin active.
We are looking forward to hearing from you.
I’ve tried inspecting your XML Sitemaps, but it does not load correctly (i.e. this image). I am getting this error for all URLs that I am trying to visit on your website. Are you using a firewall or something similar that blocks IPs from certain countries from visiting your website?
We are looking forward to hearing from you.
Hi @alexluke106,
You posted your support request in the international forum. Therefore, we only handle support requests in English. You can either create a new topic in English or you can go to your local support forum (for a list of available localized forums, see https://make.ww.wp.xz.cn/support/handbook/contributing-to-the-wordpress-forums/support-forums-in-your-language/) and we’ll mark this topic as resolved. Thank you for your understanding.
Hi @silv3rline,
It really depends on how exactly these headings are used. If they reflect the text structure correctly, then it’s not an issue. If they have the tags in a messy order, then you may want to either edit the theme to change the headings or choose a different one.
We hope to have cleared things up for you.
Hi @nivlac,
If you can send us the 3 pages, we’ll be happy to check whether they are not indexed due to Yoast SEO or because of other reasons.
We are looking forward to hearing from you.
Hi @jsnowbusiness,
The feature to have the permalink of WooCommerce products follow the primary category is part of Yoast WooCommerce SEO, which is a premium add-on.
We hope to have cleared things up for you.
Hi Kim,
If we understand correctly, you want to add the meta robots “noindex, follow” to your category pages. To do so, please go to SEO → Search Appearance → Taxonomies → Categories and select No when asked if you want to show them in the search results. This will add the
<meta name="robots" content="noindex, follow">to all your category pages.Hi Jack,
As @mohammedays has said, sitelinks are not based on our plugin’s settings. The Yoast plugin automatically adds all the necessary Schema needed to generate Sitelinks.
You could signal to Google which links you want to appear by using the following actions:
– Provide a clear structure for your website, using relevant internal links and anchor text that’s informative, compact and avoids repetition. These guides explain more:– Allow Google to crawl and index important pages within your site. Use Inspect any URL to check that they can be rendered properly.
– Consider using noindex to remove pages you do not want to be found in a search. This guide explains more.
– Be sure to resubmit your sitemap to Google as it will encourage Google to reindex your site and update its index. This guide explains more.
– You may also wish to contact Google for more information on how they decide which links appear. You can contact Google by making a post on their forums — http://productforums.google.com/forum/?rd=1#!forum/webmasters.We hope to have cleared things up for you.
Hello,
This issue has been fixed by the Gutenberg team in their latest update (in the plugin version, 6.4.0). As the WordPress core has not yet received an update, this issue persists until an update is released.
There are several workarounds until then:
a) Use another browser, i.e. Firefox (the issue only happens with the latest version of Google Chrome)
b) Add this code to the functions.php file of the theme
c) Install the Gutenberg v6.4.0 pluginWe hope to have cleared things up for you and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any further questions.
Hi @gbarbs96,
That URL is not working either. It probably works for logged in users only. In the meantime, please let us know if you are using any page builder and which one if that is the case.
It’s possible that both warnings are false-positives on Yoast SEO’s side. Please check out this KB article regarding the focus keyphrase not being recognized as being in the first paragraph.
We are looking forward to hearing from you.
Hi @ninjac4,
By default, the SEO editors/manager role does not have access to WooCommerce products. That would be a security issue.
If you grant the capabilities for products to SEO editors/managers (as in this attached image), are you still experiencing this issue?
I have just tested this with a user role “SEO editor” and it works as expected. I am able to view and edit the SEO score of existing and new products.
We are looking forward to hearing from you.
