The payment gateway is PayPal payments standard. But I just found the problem. Wp ecommerce Grid view lite – I disabled this plugin and all started working great. I guess it’s not compatible with the latest updates.

I did remove all the plug ins, completely files included.
I did try the twenty eleven theme, All with the same lack of results.
