I received a pre-release version from Real Cookie Banner that fixed it. Something was blocked on their end and the latest version should fix it.
Thanks for getting back to me. I opened a ticket with Real Cookie Banner now as well to see if they can tell something about this case. If needed I will refer them to this thread.
Thanks – the URL looked a bit different to me but this worked

In reply to: [Speculative Loading] What’s the status of this plugin?Got it, thanks for providing the insights and sharing that link to your blog.
I am interested, how can you do the tests here when loading depends on mouse movements and time you hover and click on the button. How are the tests actually performed identical between each method?
I think that’s the beta from two to three days ago. That version works for me
Hi @saivutukuru
Thanks for explaining – however, I find the “check” as you mentioned here “If everything is working now, no further action is required” a bit unreliable.
How should I know if everything is working. There was a clear error and I cannot test every single feature. Also starting to debug and troubleshoot is all additional effort. So I am not sure if I can just leave it there, knowing there was some serious issue reported by so many people.
best regards
MarkusCorrection: I tried another site, and it shows again the notice: “Almost there! Stats tracking requires a Plausible plugin token. Create one on the Settings screen, and press Connect to complete setup.”
I generated a new token, and still no change.
I could test more sites, but I honestly spent already half a day, and I try not to mess around with more sites. Not sure why it’s so difficult to get it working again.
Ok, it was quite a challenge to update to 3.2.0 but I managed it. Now it seems to work again and the notice is also gone. I did not have to generate a new token.
At first I got this when I tried. Then I tried again to click the “connect” button. However, nothing changes except that I have a new token now. What about the Plausible version on the server? Maybe there is a new minimum version required to make this all work. I again downgraded to 2.5.0
Something went wrong while updating tracker script configuration: [404] Client error:PUT https://plausible.mydomain.com/api/plugins/v1/tracker_script_configurationresulted in a404 Not Foundresponse: {"message":"Not Found","status":404}I downgraded now to 2.5.0
Working fine here.
Yes, I am using plausible.oneofmydomains.com but so I am doing it with every other website that works just fine.
Sorry, but it kind a shows it comes with the update.
Did only quickly test without looking deeper, the notice is gone with this version. However, I am not sure if tracking is working (and it did until recently as I am seeing a user in the last 30 minutes).
However, I am accessing the site from 2 devices (1 wifi, 1 mobile data) and do not see any real time user. See also the error in the console: (failed)net::ERR_BLOCKED_BY_ORB
I compare with other sites on the previous plugin version e.g. 2.5.0 where it works just fine.
Updated but did not fix it for me unfortunately. Checked on two sites.
That’s sounds like a good idea.
This is just a guess now – maybe 500MB to 4GB in size and approx. 40 sites in total.
OK, I did not read the logs from @ashbyvagg but it sounded similar to what I am experiencing for a long time. Without getting into it too much as it’s not my thread, it sounds logical that quota/storage runs out if backups are not cleaned up. The same would happen to me, only that I have a lot of storage included.
Indeed, I remember you offered the code modification – however it’s far from a solution because this must be done manually on each site, and repeated manually on each site after each plugin update.
I summarize: Rescan Remote Storage feature will list ALL backups from Google Drive. If multiple different sites backup to the very same Google account that is problematic. If each site uses a different Google account that is not a problem. If Updraft Premium is used sub-folders can be defined so it’s also not a problem. On the free Updraft account it is a problem if multiple sites are backed up to the same Google account.
Hey @ashbyvagg
I did not read all the details, but I am facing similar issues for many months. From what I remember in my case it’s related to Google Drive quote (not the quote about the total storage, but the quote about actions or transfer per second).
Also please be careful with “Rescan remote storage” – I also remember this can lead to total chaos. In my eyes there is a big security issue with Updraft and Google Drive upload when you have multiple websites/clients and uploading them all to the same Google account.
