The odd part is that the link words; it simply isn’t embedded into the page:

Hi there.

Here is the code with the short codes present (yet with no iframe showing):

As far as I know, there is no plug-in or theme related issue to this iframe problem.

I also tried switching back to twenty twelve theme and it did not work.
