Yes we need it also in gutenberg, ideally as a block, as it greatly improves privacy.
Its a great plugin!
You could make it more robust if that is possible.

The settings and template work just fine when Popup Maker is disabled.
The precursor is Blocklab which auto-migrated to GCB and yes it started there. I hoped to fix it with the migration.
