Thanks for the reply – I lost patience and deleted the installation and am as I write restarting.
I have little knowledge – on the XAMPP control I only had Apache and MySQL running (had read somewhere didn’t need the others ?)
I had set it up as a multisite instal (it ran fine after then) not idea what the issue was but the reinstall has gone ok so far so fingers crossed.

thanks for the reply.
I want to sell tickets to an event – purchaser may want to purchase one or more than one tickets so I want them top be able to click Pay and then to be able to specify how many tickets they want to purchase. Each ticket has the same price and there are no discounts etc
At present it just allows them to pay for just one ticket and no more.

Similar issue – want the sidebar just on my home page – however it does not appear but does on the other pages when all I want is for it to appear on the front page.

Yes it worked – wasn’t sure whether it was a separate entry or part of an existing – but trying each revealed it was a separate entry.
For a couple of lines of code it makes it easier to read and takes longer titles etc.

Inserted the code – it has revealed the detail but now the title text is partly obscured / missing albeit the black dividing line is no longer visible.

Thanks for the reply – not quite a novice but not far off – understand you are talking about the style sheet for the calendar – have found the entry that starts of ‘.calnk etc
Where do I insert ‘piosition:relative to’ and is there any more text ?
Have tried just inserting those words and it makes no difference – have tried changing the margin top size and its made some difference but you then see less of the detail ie time and event details.

When I posted it was not to my recollection resolved and to have several threads for the same issue makes it difficult to ascertain what the issue is and indeed the solution for us novices out here?
Anyway my issue was the Theme I had installed. Thanks to one of the engineers (Carolyn) who suggested activating the Twenty Twelve theme. As soon as I did that and went to do a post the option to send to my profile or page appeared (did not before) and its now sorted.
I then resorted my theme and the link to the page remains so far.
Just wanted to share this possible solution.

Have had the same happen, however posts go to both my page and my profile with no option to turn them off to my profile.
Page and profile are under the same email address.
What I have found is that under the apps section of Facebook I can set it up so the posts that go to my profile are only visible by me and those to the page are visible by all.
Not ideal as I get to see two of each post in my timeline but its better than nothing.

Just donwloaded this plugin and it will only link to my profile when I want it link only to my page on facebook – can you advise?
