I fixed it by editing search-filter.php line 696.
Hi,
I discovered the problem and it’s not related with your plugin but a conflict with another plugin I have called WP No Category Base which removes ‘category’ from the URL with a 301 redirect and that was causing the problem when searching a category. Other similar plugins I tried also cause this problem. Is there anything you could do to get around this issue? Like an option to get a normal search URL instead of ‘domain.com/category/movies/?s=titanic’.
