I went ahead and tested this myself as well with the same results, things seemed ok from testing (set up on 3 sites without issues).
I’ll do a bit more testing and planning before deploying this to a production multisite but this is a no-brainer for all my single installs.

I’m glad that I wasn’t able to find documentation for this because it isn’t there 😉
I hope that this will become available at some point to the public (premium or free). I will most likely be trying out Gravity Forms to PDF Auto-Fill Solution.
