In reply to: [Create] Import from CookBook PluginExcellent!
Can you also PLEASE make sure that all the hyperlinks from the recipes (like in the ingredients, etc.) are also imported?
Thank you,

MattHere’s how you eliminate the error:
- navigate to Settings | Permalinks
- click “Save Changes” (no need to make any changes).
Now you’re all set.

In reply to: [Featured Images in RSS for Mailchimp & More] AWeber Blog BroadcastI’ve been trying to use Aweber’s {!rss_item_description} while still including images in the blog broadcast for years. It just doesn’t work. For years I’ve searched for ways to do it, to no avail. I have found archives that were up to 4 years old where people are asking Aweber to update their code to include this functionality, they have yet to do anything about it.
Here’s the skinny on {!rss_item_description} vs. {!rss_item_content} in Aweber:
- {!rss_item_content}: using this variable will publish ENTIRE articles, including any images, in your blog broadcast. It basically looks just like your article.
- {!rss_item_description}: using this variable will publish article snippets, NOT including images, in your blog broadcast. It sends the article title, the description, and the contributing author, but NO thumbnail.
To me this is an epic fail for Aweber. I don’t understand why they don’t just get on making this work to INCLUDE a thumbnail image with the article snippets when using the {!rss_item_description} variable. It cannot be that difficult, and their customers have been asking for it for years and years.
I personally have asked them to implement it twice over the course of the last 2 years, but still nothing. Rob, if you can get this to work you’re a better man than the Aweber developers!
What I do is just build my blog broadcast manually using a custom template I made. I kind of like this better because it allows me to add promotional material to my weekly email blasts.
Sorry for the bad news, but just figured I’d share my experience.
Blessings.

In reply to: [Ad Inserter - Ad Manager & AdSense Ads] Middle of ContentYou can use the “before paragraph” display option, but this will only put the ad before that number of paragraph. However, if one article is 15 paragraphs long, and another is 9, then this obviously doesn’t place the ad in the middle if the all articles.
The “middle of content” feature is available on most all other ad plugins I have seen, so adding it to your plugin is very possible. Your plugin is by far the best ad plugin, and this is the ONLY feature you’re missing.
PLEASE ADD IT!!
If there is some secret way to do it with your existing version, can you please share how?
Thanks!

In reply to: [Floating Social Bar] Pin count showing up very sporadicallyAfter following your instructions on “how to properly ask for support and get it,” reaching out with a few reminders, and waiting over 2 weeks for a reply that never came my review of this plugin will have to be 3 out of 5.
If you respond and offer assistance as indicated in the article reference above, I will amend my review accordingly.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] V 0.9.3 CDN Cloudfront Error – Empty Access Key@nasca I have it disabled, but I reenabled it to check and it’s serving the new distribution. It’s worth noting that the display of the new distribution is broken – serving up a plain text version of each article/page – so I have to keep the CDN option disabled in w3tc until a fix comes out.
