    I have the same problem on newest wordpress and Contact Form 7 4.7

    Hi,

    The widgets were not in inactive section, they were each time wiped-off.
    I don’t have a lot of plugins and this solution doesn’t seem possible..I have mostly essential plugins for my website and in order to check it they way You said, I would have to turn them off for 1 month and that’s not really possible.

    Is there any other way I can find out why it’s broken?

    For the time being I have left 9 plugins running (deleted 6 that I can survive without):
    Collapsing Archives
    Contact Form 7
    Email Subscribers & Newsletters
    Polylang
    Przekierowanie (redirections 301)
    Simple Lightbox
    Tiled Galleries Carousel Without Jetpack
    WP reCaptcha Integration
    Yoast SEO

    And that’s it. I will report back if it happens again 🙂

    I have the same problem. I have a site with 2 languages and it’s showing all posts (all languages) on currently selected language.

    Exclude category doesn’t work for me 🙁
    it ignores category ID that I enter to exclude
