Hi,
Yes, it was the default widget that came with my theme. I didn’t know there was an advanced option.
I switched it out to the advanced and now it works perfectly!

Yes, that’s exactly what I did, create a static blog page.
How do I set the widget to feature a custom link?
The widget doesn’t have that option.
