It’s a new site with just 2 articles till now.
Data from Analytics dashboards within Site Kit is below-1. In “Your traffic at a glance” it shows “ALL USERS – 5” in default 28 days period.(site kit installed just 3 days ago).
2.In Search funnel, it shows 28 impressions & 0 clicks- from Search console Source (hopefully organic traffic as keywords shown in report that brought traffic).
& Unique visitors from search – 0 (Source: Analytics)
3. In Acquisitions section –
“Top search queries for your site” -column shows 8 search results (0 clicks & 18 impressions)
“Most popular content” – column shows 16 views.
This was all from Site kit dashboard.Further, i would like to add 2 things-
1.I sent my site url to a friend (in his messages in Twitter) to click so that i can test check – that click appeared in analytics (being a direct url click).
2.I have experience of BLOGGER, i have seen that 8-10 hits used to come from Social media links(in blogger view dashboard), so people must be coming & it shows 0 visitors in analytics.Further when i reach my site(test check) thru any Social media links, no hit appears in google analytics (while my direct visit thru site url appears)- neither in “real time” nor “datewise”. Same may be true for other visitors.

To resolve this i tried to change my Permalink- now it is

In reply to: [Easy Table of Contents] Untested with my wp versioni added “Easy Table of contents” plugin.
Then checked the “Posts” option(in automatic also) in settings & saved. TOC options appeared at bottom of post & i clicked all the headings & UPDATED the post, but no TOC appeared in POST.
Then tried to clear cache by “purge all” in Clear cache plugin & then in my browser as well but nothing happened.
Pl. advice.Thanks a lot @wfpeter for indepth response & links.
Rest all solved with just 1 exception, RATE LIMITING – i tried to bring limit for “If a crawler’s pages not found (404s) exceed” to 30 ( as suggested in a wordfence youtube video – they said even to try 15) but then wordfence gave caution – “Very strict. May cause false positives”. So i fixed it at 60.
Similarly i fixed 60 for “If a human’s pages not found (404s) exceed” bcs again it gives caution below this, however for humans even 15 is too much in a minute!
So, What’s the final verdict?
I read the article, checked the tick as written, then did cache cleaning in my browser but couldn’t place my ad, finally started placing ads by uploading pic & entering URL inside (for between the post ads).
