I left a comment on the site using a new email and as should be, it was held in moderation until approved. When approved I left another comment and that went straight up on the site, as what should happen.I cannot find something common between all the posters that are being held. Some have avatars, others not. Some use gmail, others hotmail etc. It really is baffling me.
I wonder would the theme comments php file need editing?

Settings are,Comment author must fill out name and email is ticked.
Comment author must have a previously approved comment is ticked.
The “comment must be manually approved” is unticked.
Cannot understand what is causing this issue. Its only happening some posters (all the time). It looks to them that they are being constantly moderated.
I cannot find a common theme between all the affected posters, only that they have been long time commentators. This issue only cropped up after the core update from 3.9 to 4.7.
I am an admin on the site, yet when I’m logged out, and leave a comment on a post, I’m held in moderation too. Really has me baffled.

I’m also having problems with the “featured image” not being able to select one for a new post. Had these problems fpr over a week now and still the same after 4.3.1 update.

In reply to: [Twenty Twelve] Author Does Not DisplayI too had this problem when I changed my theme from twenty ten to twenty twelve. I am admin and the only author on the site. I think you can add some code to the theme files. I found an easy solution that works for me. I added a new user (myself with another e-mail) and gave editor permissions to the profile. I then went to an old post and changed the editor to the new one and it worked!! Hope this helps.
