Problem solved. I installed a plugin called “Hide Title”. Works a treat!
Yes, that is the Graphene theme that I am using. I certainly can’t argue with you about the technicalities of WordPress because I have no experience with this CMS. I have looked at some sites in the showcase and I can’t see any where duplication of the titles has occurred. However I will take your advice and submit my enquiry to the appropriate forum.
Thank you Steve. I am attempting to learn WordPress before I convert my site from Joomla to WP. The version of WP is 4.7 and the theme is Graphene.
