Thanks @themevision, this tip did the trick for me. I also turned off the overlay here. I had forgotten that these images were in the slider and not the header and hadn’t found this toggle yet.

Yes, I saw that, as mentioned in the original post, and turned it off. But the red dots still show, even if I click “publish.” So the switch doesn’t seem to work. I believe I saw reports of this in prior versions as well, but this is the current version.
