    Hey @alexkappel,

Thanks for reaching out and letting us know. We are hearing a few reports of this behavior and are passing each case along for our developers to look into. Do you mind replying back here with an updated WooCommerce System Status report? Also, if you have any MailChimp for WooCommerce specific errors logged on your end, if you wouldn’t mind sharing those with us that would be awesome – thank you!

I’ll be looking forward to your reply.

    Hey there,

I hope this finds you well!

This is the same plugin as seen on https://woocommerce.com/products/mailchimp-for-woocommerce/ . MailChimp for WooCommerce is developed by MailChimp.

    Thank you,
    Opal

    Hey there @esbpainfo

Thanks for your post. It sounds like you’re seeing some incorrect information in an Order Notification Automation. While MailChimp for WooCommerce does power the data that feeds into MailChimp to display in those automations, it will be necessary to take a look at some account-specific information to fully troubleshoot the behavior you’re seeing here.

Since we in the forums can’t access your account, I would recommend reaching out to MailChimp’s Support Team to get a deeper look at things. To help speed up the process, I would include the following information when reaching out:

    – A copy of the site’s WooCommerce System Status Report
    – Screenshot of the email displaying incorrect information
    – Specify what specific products are expected and unexpected to show up in the email

Let us know if you have any questions,

    – Malachite

    Hey there,

Thanks for the feedback and I totally understand the concern here. WordPress can be a highly customizable platform so sometimes issues can present themselves in plugin or theme conflicts. Unfortunately, we are not always able to foresee these type of conflicts until they present themselves in a particular environment.

Because WordPress is so highly customizable and because we value the work you’ve put into a live site, we recommend setting up a test environment for testing purposes.

    Thank you,
    Opal

    Hey @edwardspek

I apologize for the misunderstanding on my part regarding the system status report and certainly for the problems this issue has brought onto your site

With this being the case, I would recommend installing version 2.0.2 of the MailChimp For WooCommerce plugin as the changes pushed in this version did seek to address these syncing discrepancies. That being said, I can certainly understand if you’d prefer to go with another plugin.

If you ever have questions about the plugin, feel free to let us know.

    Hey @aand,

Thanks for your attention on this issue. I wanted to shed some light on the issue brought up here to make sure we’re on the same page.

I wanted to clarify that the issue originally reported in that original thread has been resolved.

In the new thread, the original post did not have the MailChimp for WooCommerce plugin installed when the behavior occurred.

That being said, this did bring to light a few things that our team did get a chance to tweak in the latest update to the plugin, version 2.0.2. I appreciate you helping highlight these issues for our team. This will hopefully improve things for other users who may still be experiencing some similar behavior. I recommend trying out this new version of the plugin, and if you run across any unexpected behavior, please let us know so we can address it specifically.

For some context, due to the nature of developing for a wide user base, it’s necessary for us to obtain as much detail as possible on an issue when we cannot replicate it. I realize this isn’t ideal when an issue appears to be cropping up for a smaller group of users, though because of the way plugins interact with other active plugins and information in a MailChimp list, it is necessary for us to gather details on a case-by-case basis so we can accurately diagnose and resolve the root cause of the issue. While this takes time, it helps to minimize the possibility of the issue cropping up again.

I appreciate your concern for making sure these issues are properly addressed. We are always open to feedback. If you do come across any unexpected behavior down the road, please feel free to create a new post in the Plugin Forums providing as much information as possible so we can assist in troubleshooting.

    Thanks,
    Malachite

    Hey everyone,

First, I wanted to thank you all for bringing these issues to light. I have spent some time reviewing things with our team. A new update to the plugin has just been pushed that addresses some of these syncing inconsistencies that may have been influencing the behavior reported. I would recommend updating to version 2.0.2 of MailChimp for WooCommerce. Next, I’d like to make sure each of these concerns have been addressed:

@edwardspek: After further review of the system status report provided, it appears that the “MailChimp For WooCommerce” plugin is not among the active plugins listed, so this behavior would not be caused by the MailChimp for WooCommerce plugin. However, I did notice that the similarly named “MailChimp For WordPress” plugin is active. If you’re seeing this behavior when this plugin is active, I would recommend reaching out to the team in charge of that plugin here: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/plugin/mailchimp-for-wp

@gindavall: I understand you have been seeing similar issues to the originally reported issue. While the original poster did not have the plugin installed, our review did bring to light some changes that we’ve made in regards to syncing and subscribing customers to MailChimp. Could you update to version 2.0.2 of the plugin and see if those issues persist? If you’re still experiencing unexpected behavior, please create a new thread in the Support Forums so we can get a fresh look at this behavior.

@aand: I can certainly appreciate the concerns raised here. While this issue is similar to the one reported in a previous thread, the previous issue has been resolved, and our devleopers have pushed some tweaks to address customers being synced and subscribed in version 2.0.2 of the plugin.

I greatly appreciate everyone’s patience in troubleshooting these issues. If any unexpected behavior crops up after updating to version 2.0.2, please create a new topic in the forums so we can address it individually from other cases to ensure we’re accurately diagnosing these problems.

    Thank you,
    Malachite

    Hey there @muttly

Glad to take a look at things with you here.

Regarding both emails going out, the Emails tab is the correct place to disable the WooCommerce emails. Would you be able to share a screenshot of one of these disabled emails on the WooCommerce side of things? Additionally, could you share your site’s WooCommerce System Status Report? I’d like to get a closer look at your particular setup to try and replicate in testing.

Regarding content in the MailChimp order notification email, it is a known limitation that variant-specific information will not display, and unfortunately MailChimp’s emails will not be affected by plugins installed on the WordPress side of things. You can make some limited edits to the Order Notification Automation Emails’ appearance by editing it within MailChimp, though I’m certainly glad to pass along your feedback.

Finally, it’s possible that MailChimp is using an outdated product name. I would recommend making a test purchase of that product to try and push over the update. If that’s still not doing the trick, I would try deactivating, uninstalling, and reinstalling the plugin to force syncing that up to date information.

Let me know if you have any further questions,
    Malachite

    Hey there @kiannarexia

Definitely glad to help you check out these product thumbnails and getting things synced over properly.

To get started, would you be able to provide some initial information about your site to ensure it meets the minimum requirements to run as expected. You can pass us the WooCommerce System Status Report to provide all the details we’ll need.

In addition, could you send over a screenshot from WooCOmmerce’s Product Display settings? Specifically: WooCommerce > Products > Display > Product Images. I understand you’ve currently got things set at 450×450, though I’d like to do some testing to try and replicate what you’re experiencing.

Finally, if you haven’t yet, could you try using the regenerate thumbnails plugin to make sure that all the product thumbnails are using up to date sizes?

Thanks in advance for this. I’ll keep an eye out for your reply.

    Hey there @gretazarttt

Thanks for chiming in here. We can certainly investigate this with you.

That said, in the interest of keeping things organized here on the forums, could you create a new thread for this particular issue, as it may be unrelated to the original issue at hand originally presented in this thread. In addition to creating a new thread, could you including the following in your post?

    – A copy of the WooCommerce System Status Report for your site?
    – Does your site meet the minimum requirements to run the plugin? Those are detailed here.
    – Does this error persist when deactivating other plugins besides WooCommerce and MailChimp For WooCommerce?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hey @alfaterra,

Ah, thank you so much for clarifying that. I did some testing on my end as well and am seeing the same behavior in my testing environment. I agree that this is not ideal and I will bring this up internally with our developers. Thanks again for bringing this to our attention! Please feel free to reach back out at any time if you notice anything else interesting or have any additional questions about the plugin.

    Sincerely,

    Pearl

    Hey @alfaterra,

Thanks for the reply – great to hear that the products and orders all back filled.
When you ask about filtering purchased orders from all of them – are you seeing canceled or invalid orders sync over into your MailChimp account as well? We would only expect completed orders to sync, so please let us know if you are seeing something else.

    Thanks!

    Pearl

    Hey @alfaterra,

That’s excellent news! To clarify a bit, we would expect MailChimp for WooCommerce to re-sync all products and orders once reconnected and backfill any orders that were placed while the integration was disconnected. This may take a bit of time, however – roughly one hour for every 5,000 records syncing. Also, could you please verify that all of the products expected to sync SHOULD sync – for example, are any of the products that aren’t syncing in draft mode?

    Thanks!

    Pearl
