Can I install the script manually in the “header.php” file right before </header>? Will that work?

I copied an Italian web site (exported it). We are trying to keep the same look (export function in wordpress doesn’t really export everything). Their web site words OK. For me, I don’t get my web site when doing a search in google. someone told me that I needed to ad this tracking ID.
