Why didn’t you open a ticket on https://support.mediacloud.press?
You are using a version of PHP that has been EOL’d for almost two years, you need to upgrade. 7.1 hasn’t received security patches since December 2019.
Libraries we use upgrade their requirements. To keep the plugin secure and functioning, versions needs to go up. It’s not a stretch to require the minimum version of PHP that is still getting patches and fixes versus versions that aren’t.

This is simply untrue. There is no user named “Akaii” in our support desk software and we’ve answered 98% of support emails in the last two months.
Furthermore, you can always cancel and request refunds from https://users.freemius.com/ which is linked in the email Freemius sends you when you sign up and is linked each month when they send you an invoice.

The move from version 2.x to 3.x was a significant rewrite, which is why it was moved to a premium feature.
You can still download the 2.x version from here though with the prior iteration of that feature intact.

Yes, it should be fine to set the AllowedOrigins to your server, though don’t forget the subdomain variations.
CORS is not really about server security. Origin spoofing is pretty trivial. And with S3, any request that could cause damage has to be signed and authenticated anyways.

Yes they are, but you probably don’t want to use them for images. But with the WooCommerce and Easy Digital Downloads integration, you can enable them for that and set a custom expiration.
