Hi Ojoma, thanks for your answer.
I had totally 12 email addresses marked as bounced on MailPoet. I checked all of them “manually”; that’s to say I sent an email. By 11 addresses, I got an error message, meaning that the addresses are no longer valid (by the way, these email addresses are treated as “subscribed” on MailChimp; but seeing the error messages I got, I must say, that’s not correct either ;-).
The only mail address from which I’ve got a valid answer (meaning I keep regularly contact with her) and thus, it should be marked as “subscribed” is the following: [email protected]
I’ve even created a confirmation mail to confirm the bounced or unconfirmed addresses. I first checked it with an email address from myself and it worked properly:
-I set my address as unconfirmed
-I sent the email, click on the link and it was automatically set to subscribed.
Than I repeated the test but waited to confirm:
-I set my address as unconfirmed
-I sent the email and waited
-After some hours (maybe twice a day or so, MailPoet sets mail addresses to bounced) my address was automatically set to bounced.
-I confirmed my address (click on the link on the confirmation mail)
-My email address was set to subscribed.I sent the confirmation mail to [email protected]. She told me she followed the instructions but it seems that it didn’t work since the email address is still marked as bounced.
Since it is only one problematic email address, I can keep it in mind and handle it separately, but in case they were more, I would have to change the system.
Thanks once again for your help!
Kind regards
Bettina
Hi everybody, thanks a lot for your tips. Unfortunately I cannot get it to work correctly and I cannot understand why! I’m getting slowly crazy 🙁
I’ve checked all the needed strings in all languages (German (DE), formal German (F-DE) and Swiss German (CH)) and they are all correctly translated.
I’ve added to the end of each needed string a tag (DE, F-DE, CH) to identify where the strings are taken from and I discovered, the translated strings are taken from the Swiss German file, but only one string is translated. That’s so strange!!!
For example, in the Confirmation page only the second string is translated and it is taken from the Swiss German (CH) file:
Simply click on this link to stop receiving emails from us.
Ja, melden Sie sich ab CHIn the Success page nothing is translated:
Accidentally unsubscribed? Manage your subscription
And in the Manage Subscription page just the word Kontakte is in German but apparently it is not a string because I couldn’t find it in any file and the string “Ihre Präferenzen…” which is displayed after saving. This string is taken also from the Swiss German file (CH)

Don’t really understand……
Hi Ojoma
thanks for your answer.
The problem is the following: my website uses German from Switzerland (CH). If I search for the english strings in the file mailpoet-de_CH.po, I don’t even find the english strings for which I need the translations. On mailpoet-de_DE.po I find the english strings and the corresponding translations to German, but my website doesn’t use German from Germany (DE), but from Switzerland (CH) 😉
I’ve also tried to follow the steps indicated in transifex and wanted to translate the strings to Swiss German, but first, I need to upload the file with the English strings and this file I cannot find. Where is this file normally located? Under /wp-content/plugins/mailpoet/lang or under /wp-content/languages/plugins/mailpoet? I’ve expected to find a file like mailpoet-en_GB or something like this….
Any help is welcome 🙂
Kind regards 🙂

In reply to: [Open User Map] Liste der Locations bei Open User MapHi Daniel, thanks for your answer.
I think that the post_id I get only in the PRO version, correct? Because I don’t see any id or similar in my locations.
Kind regards, Bettina
Hi @jarnovos
I’ve just tried what you said but it didn’t work. Strange. But I think, I can still live with it 😉
Another thing that it is not ok: the date is always shown in English, for example:
German: am February 24, 2024
English: on February 24, 2024
Spanish: el February 24, 2024In German it is ok but on Spanish it should be “el 24 de Febrero de 2024”
Is there a way to translate the date correctly? One possibility it would be to format it to d/m/Y but maybe there is another way?
Kind regards
Bettina
Hi @jarnovos
thanks for your answer.
I could with Loco translate the first paragraph.
But some texts within 6. Platzierte Cookies, for example: “This data is not shared with third parties.” or “For more information, please read the %s%s Privacy Statement%s.” are not shown as translated although the translation is provided.
Any idea which could be the problem?
Kind regards
Would it work by adding the missing translations in the corresponding files, for example:
complianz-gdpr-de_CH.po
I’ve just added the german translation but it seems not to work:
: config/documents/cookie-policy-eu.php:6
msgctxt “Legal document cookie policy”
msgid “This Cookie Policy was last updated on %s and applies to citizens and legal permanent residents of the European Economic Area and Switzerland.”
msgstr “Diese Cookie-Richtlinie wurde zuletzt am %s aktualisiert und gilt für Bürger und Personen mit ständigem Wohnsitz in der Europäischen Wirtschaftsunion und der Schweiz.”- This reply was modified 2 years, 3 months ago by mengana.
Hi @jarnovos
thanks for your answer.
Is it possible to collaborate with the translations? I would be willing to do that.
Best regards, Bettina

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] Cookie Policy multilanguageHi everybody, no I’ve managed to get my cookie policies in the different languages. It is “almost” perfect 😉
In German everything is in German except for the first paragraph: “This Cookie Policy was last updated on 28. December 2023 and applies to citizens and legal permanent residents of the European Economic Area and Switzerland.” and the last paragraphs in section 5.3 and 8 and the last sentence “This Cookie Policy was synchronized with cookiedatabase.org on 29. December 2023.“
See link https://art.coaster.ch/de/cookie-richtlinie/
In Spanish only the last paragraph in section 5.3 is not in Spanish and the last sentence looks like strange: “Esta política de cookies se ha sincronizado con cookiedatabase.org el 29 29UTC December 29UTC 2023.“
See link https://art.coaster.ch/es/politica-de-cookies/
Apparently these texts are not translated. Is there the possibility to collaborate with the translations? I used to collaborate with wordpress translations…
Just let me know.
Kind regards

that was definitely the solution. Thanks!

I think I can leave with it 😉 or do you suggest to contact polylang? Is there the possibility to collaborate with the translations?
Thanks again for your support 🙂

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] Cookie Policy multilanguageHi @jarnovos
Thanks you for the files. I’ve uploaded them to the server but it doesn’t work. Like before, only points 6 and 7.1 are in the correct language. The rest is always in English.
I’ve added the cookie page to the main menu so you may have a look:

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] Cookie Policy multilanguageHi @jarnovos
Thanks a lot for your video. That’s really very kind of you 🙂
Unfortunately it doesn’t work by me. I’ve also make a video for you to see what I do:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rRB4MDezV5aN1bWbJibOg6TM5b-zVPs-/view?t=27
I hope the above link works, otherwise try this please: https://clipchamp.com/watch/QzaOyf5lmUS
Herewith a short explanation:
-my site language is german
-I’ve set the following languages in polylang: german (main), english and spanish
-apparently there are no translations pending
-I create the cookie policy in complianz and this is created as german (flag showing german language) but the only part translated into german are points 6-placed cookies and 7.1. The rest is everything in english.
The same when I create a spanish version, the only part translated into spanish are points 6 and 7.1.
Herewith the links to the cookie policies in all languages:
German: https://art.coaster.ch/cookie-policy-eu/?preview_id=9926&preview_nonce=9232a41dd6&preview=true
I don’t know what else to do….

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] Cookie Policy multilanguageHi @jarnovos
Thanks for your message.
With the free version, I can create the pages/posts, etc in the different languages and they are connected, but they are not automatically translated: that’s something I need to do manually.
I’ve checked several plugins which theoretically would translate automatically, but none of them are for free.
Kind regards

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] Cookie Policy multilanguageWhat is also strange is the following:
When I see the cookie policy on the website in the different languages, points 6. Placed cookies and 7.1 Manage your consent settings are correctly translated. But when I want to edit the corresponding pages, point 6 and 7.1 are shown in German. Do I need to interrupt the synchronisation?
Thanks in advance
