In reply to: [Ultimate Product Catalog] Alt attribute on product page thumbsSure, thanks for looking into it. It’s probably not a big effect but anything that improves SEO is appreciated.
Here’s an example product page:
https://galaxy-scientific.com/products/product/QuasIR2000/?The main image is fine, but if you look at the thumbnail images beneath it you can see there is no alt attribute for those. Take a look at this screenshot:
https://cl.ly/e7e1671d1936The related products do appear to have alt attributes but they seem to be hard-coded to “Product Link” rather than pulling the alt text from the media data. Here’s a screenshot showing that:

In reply to: [Ultimate Product Catalog] Product links appearing in wrong catalogYes, I am manually setting related products in the Applications catalog to those that are in the Products catalog. That must be the problem. They also have different product page templates so it is pretty obvious.
You might want to think about handling that case somehow (although I see the difficulty in doing so). Another example is I have an “accessories” catalog the may have related products to the main products in a different catalog.
One potential workaround would be to create a custom tab that links to the related products and not rely on the related products id. At least I understand the problem now – thanks for your advice.

In reply to: [Ultimate Product Catalog] Product links appearing in wrong catalogHi – thanks for the tip. I flushed the permalinks but the problem remains. I noticed it is set to use custom structure for the permalink: /%category%/%postname%/
In UPCP SEO settings I have Pretty Permalinks turned on and there is nothing filled in for Permalink Base. Do I need to fill something in there?
As you can see the product still shows up in the wrong catalog:

In reply to: [Email Before Download] Download stalls in chrome and othersThank you for the reply and the detailed explanation. This workaround does indeed fix the problem so all is good for now. What’s strange about my particular installation is that it was working a few weeks ago and now it has started to have this problem. I’m guessing, since i’m on a shared server that the PHP version or settings got changed globally in a way that made this behavior apparent. I did do a check that cURL is available and that part looked enabled. Do you have any guidance on PHP versions that may relate to the problem?

In reply to: [Email Before Download] Download stalls in chrome and othersI have just experienced this problem as well. I do not know the cause but I unchecked the URL hiding feature (cURL) in email-before-download and that seemed to resolve the issues. I prefer to hide the URL but it is a quick work around. Please let me know if you find the reason for this problem.

In reply to: [Ultimate Product Catalog] UPCP Sitemap and Yoast IntegrationThank you! I completely misunderstood that. So, to get the catalog pages indexed properly I did the following:
1.) In settings – SEO: entered the path to the sitemap as “http://www.galaxy-scientific.com”
2.) Found the link to the UPCP generated xml sitemap that you mentioned
3.) Submitted this link to google search console as an additional sitemapDoes that look like the correct steps?
