@govpatel: Root folder, like usual (not my first manual wordpress installation). What I’ve found is that this website’s hosting is on IIS 6 at GoDaddy and that might be a reason…this is where it’s getting slightly too technical for me, but I’ve found that upgrading the hosting to IIS 7 might solve this. I’ve hit the button upgrade, and now well, we have to wait as GoDaddy says it takes up to 24h to change this.

I forgot to mention – prior to the steps above, I’ve created a new database just for WordPress.
